My recording career started at age fifteen when I discovered you could take one cassette machine, record guitar into it, play it back, and record that plus yourself singing into a second cassette machine.
Since then, over 20 years of experience as a producer, engineer, and studio owner have taught me a lot. But I’m still having fun and discovering new things.
After a brief stint at a traditional college, I headed to Full Sail University. From there, I worked at a variety of studios in Columbus, OH (my home state) before finally opening Relay Recording in 2002.
16 years later, Relay Recording is still thriving. It now boasts a downtown location and a 1983 Trident Series 80B recording console, too.
Working with local artists such as Way Yes, The Worn Flints, and The Cordial Sins—and playing in bands myself—makes me happy that I choose Columbus as the place to practice my craft. It’s a great place to live and work.
Recording, mixing, and mastering–the process of making records–is my passion. I’d love to collaborate with you on a project soon.
